Donations for Betty Chin

If you can, bring a donation to class tomorrow for Katherine, A’Lisa and Esperansa to take with them on Saturday, when they help Betty Chin serve a meal to people who are homeless in Eureka. They need adult clothes and ingredients for sandwich making, such as bread, sandwich meat, cheese, peanut butter and jelly, etc.

Here’s a video of Betty being interviewed at the White House in 2010 when she received the Presidential Citizens Medal. She’s pretty inspiring and her words seem to speak to exactly what the CD 479 students are doing with their projects: “Get involved!”
